December 2002 Visit

This page shows General Duties Sedans in use with the Victoria Police that were taken during my December 2002 visit.

Holden Commodore Sedan in Bourke Street Mall in the Melbourne CBD.

I was watching this busker/mime artist in the Bourke Street Mall and when I chose to take this photo, the sedan from the above photos cruised by in the background. Being intent on getting an image of the man and child in this photo, I did not see the car until after I had taken the photo.
A lineup of General Duties Sedans behind Brunswick Police station. This station is fast becoming a must-visit point for me when in Melbourne and was my first Police photo location on this visit.

During my visit, there was a small fire in a building on the corner of Swanston and Collins Streets in the city. 2 Police vehicles (including the pictured Holden Commodore Sedan) were used to block traffic (tram, motor vehicle and pedestrian) on Swanston Street to allow Fire Fighters to work freely.

This photo of a Ford Falcon Sedan was taken while officers were attending a minor traffic accident near the Eastern Hill Fire Station. Of note is the lightbar, more commonly seen on Traffic Management Unit (TMU) vehicles.

This unusual photo was taken from a tram in Bourke Street in the city which explains the framing effect.
